Nayru Loves Yarn Creations started January 2020 when I was confined to sitting on the couch with my foot in a cast for 6 weeks. I needed an active hobby that made me feel productive and I took up crocheting. This is when our very shy rescue cat, Nayru, learned to have lap snuggles! She loved it when I’d pull out the blanket, my hooks, and yarn. Playing with the yarn was perhaps the first appeal, but soon she loved the quiet time. Then came the actual snuggle time with the projects!
My husband is a classical guitarist, Michael Ibsen, and knowing how expensive and important a classical guitar is, I created the GuitArm Sleeve. I have spent many years around guitarists and have noticed sleeves made from spandex to old cut up socks. These musicians were playing on gorgeous expensive instruments and I thought why not have something more worthy of your instrument! It’s possible to have something with more padding that allows more air flow to reduce sweat while looking good. The GuitArm Sleeve is created to give guitarists a sleeve that is comfortable, unique and beautiful. They are crocheted to your arms specific shape while playing and are made to whatever length you desire.

How does it work?
First, we set up a time to chat about your guitar, your favourite colours and designs. Are you into nature, geometric shapes, Harry Potter….? We chat about what you want to use it for, whether it is for practicing or concerts. Next, I’ll send you instructions on how to measure your arm. I will make up some sketches and share them with you before I begin crocheting. Depending on how many orders there are, I try to have it to you within 4 weeks but this may change depending on mailing time.
